The Giving Campaign
The Washington chapter of APLD offers a little-known program—the Scholarship Fund—which provides financial support to aspiring landscape designers who show passion and dedication to the field.
We raise the funds at our annual December Holiday Party and each year, the scholarship rotates between three local horticulture programs at South Seattle College, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and Edmonds College.
In 2023, we learned that the schools updated their scholarship policies, so they may not always be able to give a scholarship specifically to a Design/Horticulture student. To create a broader impact, we are rebranding our Scholarship Program as ‘The Giving Campaign.’ These funds can help a student directly or support the department through equipment, field trips, or guest speakers.
We hope you will join us in this effort!
