Scot Eckley of Scot Eckley Inc. opens the day with Small Spaces, Big Ideas, sharing powerful strategies for turning compact backyards into places that feel bigger, work smarter, and draw people outside. No timid layouts. No predictable perimeter planting. Scot demonstrates how one strong idea, thoughtful layering, and fast, analog thinking can completely reimagine even the smallest site.

Then Riz Reyes of RHR Horticulture shifts the perspective to large-scale, public-facing landscapes where horticulture meets hospitality. Drawing from his work at McMenamin’s Anderson School and Heronswood Garden, he explores how gardens evolve into venues, gathering places, and immersive experiences—and what it takes to keep them thriving under constant demand.

Refund Policy
In the event that APLDWA has to cancel any APLDWA sponsored event for any reason, we will provide, upon request, refunds to the maximum extent possible. Attendee refunds will be available, upon request, if the cancellation is made no later than 7 days in advance of the event.
